Ike

The weather made it hard for me to get out of bed this morning. Hearing the rain and the wind I just wanted to pull the covers over my head and hibernate. I did get out of bed and I am at the office now. Had to wait to leave the house until a heavy band of showers passed. Tchoupitoulas Street was flooded near Jefferson but still passable. With the weather as it is, I am expecting a lot of people to stay home today. I am looking forward to the weekend, I don’t have anything planned, I hope to get some R&R, maybe paly the guitar, read a book, something along those lines. I would like to get out and get some exercise maybe the weather will cooperate later in the weekend. I’m a little surprised at the winds and the rain we are getting from Ike, I didn’t think it was as close to us as it is. This is about how the weather was in Mobile for Gustav. Watch those flooded streets and stay home if you can.
