The Hot 8 Brass Band spring 2006

The latest drama coming out of N.O.P.D. is an officer pulling her weapon without cause. Riley describes the incident as embarrassing, I think it may be worse than that, I think it is dangerous. The speeding cop incident is also dangerous behavior by a police officer. In the rush to restock the N.O.P.D. with new blood are the right people being accepted for the job, are the proper screenings being done before they are accepted to the academy.

The saddest thing that I find with the whole situation is that the good cops, the ones performing their duties properly and professionally all take a credibility hit when things like this happen. My experiences with N.O.P.D. have always been good, I hate to see the good cops being lumped in with the bad cops at N.O.P.D.

I must be mellowing in my old age I used to be able to express a lot of anger and drop a few F bombs when I post. After reading some of my fellow Nola Blogger posts on the NOPD I am definitely G rated.

I just can’t seem to get in a good mood today, maybe it is the full moon tonight that has me out of sorts. I have been known to turn into a werewolf during full moons. Maybe I just need to lighten up and clown around a little bit.

I guess the Jeffersons cleaned out their refrigerators. Dollar Bill having trouble raising campaign funds is a good sign.

That’s how hot it was inside my car yesterday when I left work. By the time I got home, which is a short drive, it had cooled to a comfortable 96. Took the streetcar this morning it is pleasant right now, I am sure I will break a sweat before the day is over.

Meeting in Plaquemines tonight to discuss bringing debris into parish from Chicago
This is laughable, I am sure there is money involved in this deal that the parish could use, but why would any south Louisiana Parish want to import construction debris from Chicago. I guess the label Debrisville has given folks in Chicago the impression that we want their construction crap. I just don’t get it, there has to be a better way for Plaquemines parish to raise money than to import construction debris.
