I predict that the Corps of Engineers will open the Bonnet Carre Spillway before too long. The river is getting pretty high, according to an article on the Miss. State Office of Agricultural Communications this could be bad for the local Oyster industry. Personally I would rather pay more for Oysters than to have the river in my front yard.
