Progress on parks
Wednesday, July 30th, 2008Work seems to be progressing on the park on Laurel St. near Grits bar I think it is called Lyons playground or something like that. I posted on the situation with this park, and many others around the city. There was apparently a problem getting money to return the park to a park. FEMA used the park as a trailer park after Katrina, and then did not want to pony up to return it to a park. While the picture shows that it doesn’t look any better yet, they have started working on it.
